Goals

Problem statement:

In Surami village, the local population has never been able to talk about gender. The issues, like other regions, are also evident here. They include early marriage, stereotypes, violence against women and children, etc.

The 12th grade boys of Surami School # 4 will be involved in the project. They will be involved in training "man talks,” and then participate in a game with questions about gender equality.

Proposed Solution:

The intellectual game will enable students to understand the topic and talk openly about the problems and potential solutions. During these "man talks," they will increase their consciousness, share experiences, and learn to promote the idea of equality. This will be communicated to them in their own words by their peers so it is easier to understand and process.

Sustainability:

There will be very good results, as the meetings of such topics in this region has not been conducted with the target category. Their information source is only media outlets and internet, which is often misleading and develops false beliefs for teenagers.The conversations conducted by the trainer will give them the right direction about the idea of equality.

Equal gender opportunity:

The result is that men will be informed about gender stereotypes and fight against them, which links directly to improvement of the situation, because in many cases, the promotion of gender discrimination comes from men.
