Goals

Problem statement:

Climate change is a serious challenge today. In this regard, it is important to replace our consumeristic attitude towards the environment with cooperation. The best way to solve this problem on a larger scale is to introduce environmental problems to children at an early age.

Our team tries to familiarize children with nature by means of entertaining educational programs that are easy for children to understand.

The educational center “Echoscope” is an organization which makes educational and entertaining environmental programs for school age children. Since April 22, 2016, we have worked with the National Botanical Garden to build a garden and we intend to put the idea into practice by means of a project about making an Educational and Entertainment Route, which will acquaint the children with six woody plants inhabiting in the Botanical Garden.

Proposed Solution:

To make the first environmental educational and entertaining path (route) in Georgia, we will do the following:
1.Selecting six trees, which grow near the asphalted road;
2.Preparing and putting up informational boards about the selected trees.
3. Developing a map for the trail.
4. Near the tree, there will be rules for a game for spotting wildlife.
5. The path will be painted colorfully to attract children.

Sustainability:

For the first time in Georgia, on the territory of Botanical Garden environmental educational-entertainment route will be made, which will be available for any visitor of the Botanical Garden.
