Goals

Problem statement:

Public spaces everywhere are polluted, including playgrounds, parks, sidewalks, courtyards. The pollution includes plastic bags, cigarette burns, food, and pet feces.

Of course, any kind of pollution is uncomfortable. In this case, we focuses on dog feces, because we believe that this is the problem that prevents the free movement of children in parks or other public spaces.

The lack of special spaces for pets and motivation to clean up after them causes this type of pollution.

Proposed Solution:

We will make the stencils depicting the problem of dog feces in those places of the city where we see the problem. They will be on walls, streets/sidewalks, and garbage cans and remind people to pick up after their dogs.

We will engage around seven girls and three boys, as we have done before in previous projects. We will make the stencils on Gudiashvili Square, Paliashvili street and Kavtaradze Street in Tbilisi.

At the second stage of the idea we would like to make videos for social networks. These will help us to make our initiative more popular and involve more volunteers. There will be two videos.
1. The obvious problem of stepping in dog feces.
2. The stencils causing people to pick up after their pets.

Sustainability:

With the empty bottles of spray we could make a sculpture of the dog and put it on the place which was dirtiest at the beginning of our activity.

We hope that with more public awareness, more people will clean up after their animals.
