Goals

Problem statement:

Our goal is also to equip the society with knowledge about biodiversity, climate change and conservation. To save our planet, people must see Earth as a living organism with its natural resources, flora and fauna and its function. The importance of earth as a whole ecosystem for human health and healthy environment.

One method of doing this is to provide Tbilisi and the regions with the first mobile domed projector to screen space films, or Planetarium. The projector can show Earth, Saturn, Venus, Mars, Black holes, large and medium size stars and many other interesting spaces. Scientific films seen through the Planetarium can educate visitors about Earth's biodiversity and cosmology.

The objective of the project is to increase the level of scientific knowledge and education in astronomy, and promote intellectual conversations. We can invite known musicians, writers, astronomers, who will meet with the audience and will talk about the cosmos and the earth after the movie.

Panoramic films viewed with the domed projector leave an indelible impression on the galactic and planets. Although Planetarium is intended for cosmic films, we hope to screen other panoramic films that emphasize the Earth's ecosystem.

Proposed Solution:

The portable “moving planetarium '' is a special planetarium rotating in space, which includes a projector to model the movement of celestial bodies. The projector's spherical mirror surface of the reflected image of the eye creates optical illusion, depicting a domed ceiling like the sky.

The whole set is not heavy and can be carried by one person alone. It does not occupy a large place. The assembly can be as large room, hall, as well as in the open air for the summer. 10-12 can watch at a time.

For the implementation of the project following things are needed: the projector, the speakers, the sphere mirror, the inflatable planetarium, and the "ventilator."

Sustainability:

The project is long term. It will not be only for three months or a half a year. Our aim is to take part in various competitions after purchasing things that we can travel to regions, show the films and have discussions. We hope that the Planetarium will cause interest in various organizations and we will be able to further develop the project.

It is also planned to give the project a regular use and choose a permanent location for the Planetarium.
