Goals

Problem statement:

At the age of 19, I would like to address gender equality from my own perspective using my creative abilities. I want to protest, support and regret the gender gap.

I intend to achieve this by means of my camera and stories of the women I capture. I think that art will convey my message of equality to the public.

Proposed Solution:

I will take 12 photos that will have 12 heroines and create 12 stories about them. With them, I will hold an open-air photo exhibitions and a performance, which will once more remind the attending audience that woman are not the weak sex and have equal rights with men.

I will continue this exhibition at the schools where I will donate the photos and give lessons on photography twice a month.

The heroine of every photo will attend the exhibition and will tell her own story, and at the end of the event the attending audience will have the opportunity to meet each heroine personally.

Sustainability:

The sustainability of the idea lies in the fact that for several minutes, the audience will think about and analyze gender equality. This will hopefully change their long-term attitude.

I will give the acquired times, photos and presentation to the public school of the village Shroma, where I studied. The school will use them to help the future generation develop the right views and attitudes towards gender equality. I will continue giving lessons on photography for some time.

Besides, by means of the acquired accessories (a bag and a flash) I will be able to voluntarily provide help in different activities and for the initiative group of my community.

Equal gender opportunity:

In case of implementing this project, women will once more remind themselves that they are strong and nothing is impossible. On the other hand, they will destroy all the stereotypes held by men.
