Goals
Problem statement:
In Georgia, NGOs are talking more and more about the necessity of creating civil society and important steps are being taken in this direction. Different measures are aimed at promoting civic consciousness in society, but the problem still exists. The society is divided into "my people" and "others", and in most cases, the majority of them find it difficult to reach equality in relationships with people who differ from them. People with different ethnic origins, religion, and capabilities are unfortunately not perfectly integrated into the society, they carry a label of a “different” that prevents them from being a full-fledged member of society. It is necessary to raise public awareness and it should start from the educational institutions. A school is a place where people need learn about basic human values for the modern world to be developed and prepared to live in a diverse society. The modern school is unfortunately not able to fulfill this mission, and the facts of bullying and discrimination are quite regular.
The school, that I am representing is located in an ethnically diverse community, therefore school community is quite vibrant as well. It seems that there is no problem, no one talks about it, in reality there is a majority and there is a minority and there are some obvious ideas about the majority being better. In order for the majority to learn about the minority and learn more about their rights and develop a healthy attitude towards them, we want to initiate public speaking club "Ted77", where invited guests, schoolchildren will talk about minority problems, needs, and values of multicultural society.
Proposed Solution:
There is a Civic Education Club "Color Class" that is currently functioning in the school, where only students are involved and they can’t reach a wider community. The public speaking club "Ted77" enables more students to develop their consciousness and improve themselves, improve the public their public speaking techniques. In addition to topics about minority, students will have a chance to share their unique knowledge, skills, and opportunities. Maybe students have found a simple way of learning, The public speaking club will enable them to share their discoveries. children are not born with self-confidence, they should learn to believe in themselves. The public speaking club will be the place where they can lean.
Sustainability:
The generations will change, but the club will stay with its idea in the school, maybe in the future, we will not be limited to the minority issues and we will be having public discussions on the current events in the country. The items will remain in school and school will be responsible for its maintenance.
Sustainability of our idea may be possible in a few years when we actually see different attitudes in school and local communities, where there is no obvious difference and where the citizenship of this country will be much more valuable than ethnical origin or religious affiliation. I’ll would refer to one famous saying: "If you change the life of one person, you change the whole world."
Equal gender opportunity:
The initiative equally provides the involvement of women and men, girls and boys.
A small list of invited guests:
Octavi Kazumov - the literature specialist
Ramila Alieva - Journalist
Giorgi Bobghiashvili - Representative of the European Center for Minority Issues.
Lusine Dostibiegiani - Armenian Community Representative, Civil Activist.

We actively cooperate with university students who are of different ethnic origins. Will invite people living in Avlabari community who will share the experience of living together.
We can also provide effective public speaking training for schoolchildren after which they will prepare for the wider audience.
It is noteworthy that school students create shows for a non-governmental organization helping Hand "Project Online Radio" For My Voice ", where the club's activities are actively covered.
