Goals

Problem statement:

The priority of any country is education. Children should develop the skills of reading and reading comprehension from an early age. This is why developed countries give much importance to the existence of children’s libraries and supporting their development.

There has not been a children’s library in Kazbegi for over 30 years, and there is no children’s section in the central library either. As a result, children are not interested in books and do not develop this interest later. This significantly harms their professional abilities.

Proposed Solution:

The project intends to make a club of young readers in the public meeting hall. This space will be definitely attractive for children, with toys, colorful shelves, illustrated books, different periodicals for children, drawing pencils and notebooks. Also a computer which will give the children access to an electronic book with the help of adults. From time to time, we will hold literary events.

We need to purchase furniture, books, magazines, art supplies, and a computer monitor.

Sustainability:

As a result of the project, the space will be created where during the whole year children will have the opportunity to generate reading and reading comprehension skills in a quite entertaining way and in a well-arranged space. Schools have also agreed to bring students to our center.

Equal gender opportunity:

Our readers are going to be children of the age of 5-12, both girls and boys. There will not be any limitations regardless of gender or ethnicity. As for adults, increasing readership among children will serve the interests of both parents.
