For years no theater has been functioning in Tetritskaro municipality. Despite this sad reality, love of the arts has had yielded its result and fortunately just one year ago children theater “Garisi” was founded on the basis of the culture center, which unites up to 40 talented, hard-working active young people, including IDP-s from Kurta and Eredvi, eco-migrants from high-mountainous Adjara and Svaneti, also members of ethnic minorities. During this short time with the hard work of the organizers and little actors/actresses three theatrical performances were staged in difficult conditions, which caused great response and appreciation in the local community. Unfortunately the theater doesn’t have the relevant materials, particularly costumes and decorations. Due to having no funds the culture center cannot purchase the necessary materials we need. Having no costumes and decorations reduces the attractiveness and quality of the play.
Members of the theater had an idea to purchase fabric and small accessories with your help, which will be used for making the costumes needed for the plays of the children’s theater Garisi, with the voluntary work of our parents and friends. This will be a really great motivation for us, we will be able to present ourselves much better before the spectators, to show our best and give them pleasure. Our plays will become much more lively and attractive.
It has to be considered that our goal is to make the plays cross the city borders. This means taking the plays to the municipality villages. If we have the appropriate costumes our performances will be much more lively and perceivable, also they will attract more children and make them want to get to know this field of arts
Equal gender opportunity:
Women will get actively involved in making the costumes, however men will also have the opportunity to get actively involved in making the decorations
