Goals

Problem statement:

Our initiative group consists of members of Young Farmers’ Center (YFC), pupils of Koda public school. Within the scope of Young Farmers’ Center, since we carry out activities not only in the field of agriculture, but also advocacy, environment protection and positive changes, we are interested in painting the mini-bus stops in our village in different colors and decorate them with the pictures and inscriptions thought up by us. As you know the existing mini-bus stops are the color of red brick and there are many barbarously made inscriptions or announcements made without permission, as well as election posters which visually makes them look worse, and the inscriptions made on them give a feeling of untidiness and in general the stops are often dirty and polluted.

Proposed Solution:

Our initiative is to make the dull-colored walls colorful, to make beautiful paintings and inscriptions on them, for example to paint the ceiling with stars and walls with colorful and famous expressions, slogans: “take care of the environment:, “keep clean”, “plant a tree”, don’t throw litter”, “protect the unprotected”, and so on. In total there are four such stops in Koda, and all of them will be painted individually with different slogans for different social changes, we may also put aphorisms from “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin “or other famous expressions, and convey our message to the users of these stops. Volunteer Karlo Megulashvili from our school will help us in carrying out the project, who has experience in painting and making stencils.

Sustainability:

The local population as well as many other people use these stops because an important motorway passes through the village of Koda and transit passengers often use this stop, and thus pollute it or leave their own inscriptions on the walls. With our work we will show these people that we appeal them to cleanliness and we will make harmony for them. We will try to create such an attitude psychologically that they will like the stop and won’t have the desire to pollute it and this will make a great positive change for this stop and generally will take care of raising one’s awareness. Besides the stop will be colorful and worthy of attention.
