35 girls, boys and young adults live in the two main villages of Ukanapshavi. Currently, the youth cannot participate in sports since they lack the necessary infrastructure.

The physical education of youth is directly related to the formation of a healthy generation both physically and mentally. Our elders have many material concerns including unemployment, low pensions, expensive medical services and medicines. However, these problems are worsened by their diminished social lives. The problem is very serious in Gori where some elders don’t even have a single person to prepare them food or bring them medicine.

The village of Darakov has no public space for either rest or discussion. This is problematic, because the village is not well informed about current events in the region or the world, events which affect them.

Rural social life struggles from monotony and boredom. The public space is the “Birzha” (the place for spending time together idly), which greatly increases the distance among the locals. Worse, the presence of women is unethical, which isolates women and divides the population by gender.

Our Free Screenings project was launched in June 2014 and has successfully runs till the present.
Our team unites around three hundred members, where 70% is represented by women and 30% by men respectively. The age of Free Screenings' members varies between 15 - 50 years.

Problem statement

The public school library in Tsurtavi, Bolnisi Municipality, is home to hundreds of Soviet-era books. But due to lack of funding, the school library fell into disrepair and the old stockpiles of books have not be renewed. The books about the USSR, mostly in Russian, are of little interest of the school students.
