Goals

Problem statement:

The Roman's settlement in Kvemo Kartli comprises of 18 families and 70 children. They are mostly socially undefended and they beg for their basic income.

They can’t speak Georgian and they struggle to receive education or integrate. For the most part, the Roma children attend school in Rustavi and Gardabani, but affordable transportation is often an issue and the education is often interrupted.

Proposed Solution:

The purpose of our project is to provide a primary education for the families of the Roma community in order to integrate into the society. We will arranging a movable school which will come to village three times a week.

The school will teach everyone a basic education, namely Georgian and mathematics. It will be run by volunteer teachers. Funding is needed for the school supplies and the film advertisement of the project to persuade Roma to attend.

Sustainability:

The stability of the project is determined by continued school attendance. These events will be a motivation for the children and their families to continue studying. The grant awarded after the project will be transferred to the leader of Roma community.
