Goals

Problem statement:

Among the young people of the town of Marneuli there are many interested in painting and arts. Lots of young people from the town and the villages join the exhibitions and master classes held in the town. The goal of the project is to gather these youngsters together, to establish communication among them and create the conditions for sharing new ideas jointly. To hold joint exhibitions, presentations, and meetings with professional artists.

Proposed Solution:

25-30 young artists living in Marneuli municipality (and surrounding villages) will take part in the project. Conditions will be created for the young artists to work in the studio. The master classes provided by professional artists will play a big role in the development of these youth. Exhibitions of the paintings of these youngsters will be held regularly.

At the end, a club of young artists will be created to share the ideas and continue their activities. An exhibition and sale of the paintings created within the project will be held for symbolic price. With the generated money, books about arts and artists as well as other materials will be gifted to the participating youth. Additionally, money generated from a sales exhibition to be held at the end of the project will be used to furnish new materials to keep the studio working.

Finally, future projects with different organizations will be used to gather additional funds to ensure the studio can continue to function. We have 2 local artists who have already agreed to volunteer for teaching the master classes: Rahila Gadimova and Rizvan Ismailov.

Sustainability:

The created arts studio will contribute to the development of arts and motivation. 30 young people of ages 14-25 will use the studio. The conducted exhibitions and meetings, as well as master classes will positively affect the professionalism of the young artists. Two large-scale exhibitions will be held within the scope of the project. The achievements of the youth will be covered by the local media which will cause interest towards arts in the region. The youth will be provided with painting materials.

Equal gender opportunity:

We have over 30 young artists and other youth interested in art (18 girls, 12 boys). They have already held exhibitions of their work here.
